EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ATTOGRAM'S CAPROYL
What is Caproyl and how does it work? Caprol is the Phase I liquid anti-fungal that is used to mix into the candida purge drink, It’s made from liquid caprylic acid mixed into a high quality, non-GMO, first pressed, solvent free, safflower oil base. The following information about Caproyl (formerly known as Caprol) is from the book, Conquering Yeast Infections, the Non Drug Solution for Men and Women" by S. Colet Lahoz Conquering Yeast Infections “Caproyl, containing liquid caprylic acid in concentrations of not less than 2800 mg per oz and mixed with oleic acid (found in safflower oil), creates a broad spectrum anti-fungal agent against Candida albicans and other fungi.........Caprylic acid’s antifungal properties were the subject of a study at Japan’s Niigata University School of Medicine: "the fungicidal effect of caprylic acid on Candida albicans was exceedingly powerful...Caprylic acid exhibits remarkable fungistatic and fungicidal properties.” The above information about caprylic acid's antifungal properties was reported by the Japanese in 1961. Two decades later it was subsequently discovered by a Canadian, Andrew Gutauskas, B.Sc. Pharmacy, that the benefits of caprylic acid are further enhanced when its transit through the intestinal tract is slowed so that it can remain in the intestine for a longer period of time to complete its fungicidal “mission”. In the Whole Approach Attogram protocol, the mixture of the liquid caprylic acid, psyllium and bentonite form a sustained release gel delivery system. This thick gel traps the caprylic acid and slows its transit through the colon. The gel has the added benefits of both scrubbing the colon walls to release impacted matter and, of absorbing toxins. Also, the Caprylic acid in Caprol, being a liquid, has a coating action on the intestinal wall, which tablets and capsules cannot match. As the liquid Caprol is dispersed in the Psyllium/Bentonite gel, it releases its caprylic acid throughout the entire length of the intestinal tract." While in this gelled state, caprylic acid is not only able to reduce yeast populations, it is prevented from causing the toxicity that occurs when it is directed to the liver. The Attogram brand Caproyl that is a crucial part of the Whole Approach protocol is remarkably well tolerated, often by folks who have been unable to tolerate other forms of caprylic acid. And it is so gentle and effective, that many people feel that it is their preferred anti-fungal and will return to it for a month or so in between the phases with other products. This strategy is effective in getting the colon levels of yeast back in check in between systemic yeast treatments in the protocol. This is not essential,(nor part of the regular protocol), but if you have prolonged intestinal discomfort beyond phase two, you may wish to consider this approach. Under the link called, URL“Comparisons”, at the top of the Whole Approach forum page, you’ll find a clinical comparison of the effectiveness of Caproyl and the other purge ingredients verses common pharmaceutical anti-fungal treatments. Clinical Comparisons Attogram Liquid Caproyl What is the benefit of oleic acid in the base? Oleic acid is the second acid ingredient in Caprol. It is found naturally in olive oil, and in even higher amounts in safflower oil. Oleic acid has significant candida battling ability, especially against the proliferation of the fungal form of candida. Normally harmless Candida albicans (if in small quantities) can convert, or mutate, into a disruptive mycelial form. When this happens, root-like tentacles are formed, which allow the fungi to penetrate the mucosa (or lining) of the intestinal wall. This can result in Leaky Gut Syndrome. This is especially possible during candida treatment when the fungus die and fall off, leaving a perforation behind that allows toxins and food particles from the intestine to leak into the bloodstream. Oleic acid follows the mycelial, root like tentacles of candida albicans to the base of the root and kills it there. Oleic acid also hinders any additional conversion of Candida albicans yeast into its mycelial fungal form. Attogram Liquid Caproyl Why use liquid Caproyl rather than caprylic acid tablets or capsules? Unfortunately, caprylic acid is a substance that is normally quite rapidly absorbed into the intestinal tract and routed directly to the liver. There it is quickly metabolized and does not succeed at entering the general circulation. Just ten minutes after the oral intake of straight caprylic acid, more than 90% can be traced in the portal vein on its way to the liver. For this reason, the quite powerful caprylic acid has little anti-Candida albicans effect, both intestinally and systemically. This fact, however, is significantly altered if its absorption can be somehow slowed, allowing it to remain in the intestine for a longer period of time in order to complete its fungicidal mission. In this program, caprylic acid acquires its needed sustained-release properties from gel, formed by the mixture of Caprol, colon cleansers, and water. This thick gel traps the caprylic acid and slows its transit through the colon. Uncontrolled surges of caprylic acid into the liver are the most probable cause of adverse reactions to caprylic acid: however, while in this gelled state, caprylic acid does not escape into the liver. It is no surprise, then, that no adverse reactions to this gelled form of caprylic acid have been reported, even among individuals who previously reacted to other caprylic acid products. Traditional caprylic acid preparations exist as capsules and tablets, but the preference is the liquid form. This mixing causes the caprylic acid to interact with the safflower oil, thereby amplifying its fungicidal effects far beyond what caprylic acid has traditionally offered. Attogram Liquid Caproyl Can I take Caprol on it’s own without the other products for the purge drink? The Caprol should never be used without the fiber and it is strongly recommended that it also be combined with the liquid Bentonite. The Caprol needs to be mixed with the psyllium blend because the fiber is required to create the bulking gel which ensures that the active ingredients of the purge drink are pressed against the walls of the intestines. In addition, this gel matrix has a protective effect by preventing the caprylic acid from creating toxicity in the liver. The Caproyl should also be mixed with the Bentonite as well as the psyllium since this absorptive liquid clay reduces the die off related chemical stress that would otherwise be triggered from the mycotoxins that are released by the dying candida. Attogram Liquid Caproyl Should I store my Caprol in the refrigerator? Because it’s in a base of safflower oil which is a monounsaturated oil, when cooled, Caproyl will partially solidify. To allow for easy pouring of the Caproyl, it is best kept in a moderately cool, dry cupboard. If you have leftover product that you want to store for future use, you can at this point of course put it either the freezer or the fridge to extend its three year shelf life further. Just thaw it out before you need to use it. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Linda, |
