In dealing with the allergy dilemma, I decided to go to my ND. I found out that she does NAET, an allergy elimination technique. I was very skeptical at first, as are most people when confronted with the strangeness of energetic medicine, but I decided to give it a try.
First I had my son do a treatment, it was for eggs. It worked! He normally gets ADD symptoms if he has eggs, but now he actually acts better, more relaxed, more loving, etc. after he has eggs. He can now tolerate milk as well. So I went ahead and gave it a try. It was only two days ago that I was treated for my egg allergy. I know something happened because I had a definite healing crisis right after the treatment. I haven't tried eggs yet, I'm waiting for her to retest me to make sure the allergy cleared. But I'm really optimistic. This treatment can be used to clear all kinds of allergies, both food and environmental. It can even be used to treat us for our allergy to the Candida and our sensitivity to carbohydrates so that we can begin to feel better sooner. Of course, it's important to continue treating for the Candida with the purge and anti-fungals, but from what I've read, the NAET can reduce the recovery time by quite a bit. I just wanted to share since I know so many of you are suffering greatly with multiple allergies. |

Sounds Almost to good to be true!!!
I have people in my area who do this. I would love Tarilee's input, but glad to hear good things from anyone. Hope it works. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted, Yoga |

I just want to share some info on NAET. NAET does work. But, some people do not get results as well as others. And, it seems that NAET is not a permanent cure for allergies. You have to be retreated again at a later time.
It can be a very long process, as you only can be treated for one allergen at a time, and then you have to wait 25 hours (and totally avoid any contact with the allergen). But, it does work. I went through the whole treatment process 3 different times, that's how I know it is not permanent. Plus, I have heard this from people who have done NAET. I have found another allergy treatment that seems to work better. It is called NMT (Neuro Modulation Technique). It works much faster. It may be harder to find a practioner that does this, though. NMT has a website and you can find practioners there. I don't remember exactly what the website is, but I'm sure that you could do a search and find out. Good luck with whichever you choose. Shari |

Thanks for your input Shari. I estimate that it will probably take me about a year to clear all my allergies. Even if I have to do it again, it's worth it to me. But I'm hoping that with the combination of the Candida program as well as the NAET, the results will be more permanent.
I've never heard of NMT, but there is also another similar treatment called JMT which is not for allergies, but arthritis and any other immune deficiency syndrome. It's supposed to be extremely effective for many people. I might do it if the NAET doesn't bring a lot of relief. I'll look into the NMT, but I doubt there's anyone near me who does it. We live in a rural area. |

Hey Shari, my mistake! It turns out I live about an hour and a half from the DC that DEVELOPED the therapy! I guess I'll be looking into that pretty soon.
I also read the PDF article they have on the web and it's very interesting. It seems very similar to JMT, but covers more bases. Thanks again for sharing! |

Hi guys, I don't know NMT though I'll look into it since you've mentioned it. However I do know NAET. I believe that it works better than the allopathic allergy treatments though it can be quite expensive and I don't believe it lasts forever. It also takes a tremendous time commitment.
I have not been impressed enough with the difference that it can make in people's lives to jump up and down for joy about it but I do think it is worth a try for few months if folks can afford it. Some people have tremendous results from it and some have a mediocre response. I hope others will share any experiences they've had with the above techniques and others as well. Allergy treatment is such a tricky, expensive and elusive field. We can all help each other by sharing information and experiences on this one. |

Shari,
I am very interested in both of these treatments. I am going to ask my Naturopath about them on Monday. Please tell me what food allergies you had and how they effected you. How are you today with those allergies? I have many many food sensitivities. It would be a dream if it worked for me! Thanks- Mary Ann |

Hi Mary Ann! Sorry I haven't visited the forums in awhile to answer you.
I was allergic to most of the common allergens: milk, eggs, gluten, corn, soy, pork, and many environmental sensitivities. I can now tolerate eggs and milk, and the next one I will be tested for is vitamin C, which includes citrus and other fruits. I'm still wary of this treatment, I'm not sure whether to trust it because it seems too good to be true. But it does seem to work, at least for now. I believe the key is to make sure that we take care of the leaky gut problem in addition to eliminating the allergies so that they will not come back. My conclusion after doing a lot of reading is that these energy treatments are very useful, but only when we pay attention to the other aspects of our health at the same time. There is still no "magic bullet". Good health takes work. |

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this post. Blame it on brain fog...I couldn't remember where this was posted. I have only had a few NMT treatments as of today. The practioner that I am seeing, is having very good results with her patients. She used to do NAET and BioSet, and is having much better results with NMT. The website is neuromodulationtechnique.com Take a look at it. One thing NMT can assess is underlying pathogens (virus, fungus, bacteria, etc.) and heavy metals, allergies, emotional things. It sounds amazing.

Hi Shari!
I found an NMT practitioner about half an hour from me. I went to my first appointment on Monday. So far I'm very excited, I feel like I'm on to something. I'm also becoming a little disillusioned with NAET. I was treated for eggs and milk, and so far I can eat neither. They do say that with some people you have to be treated with several combinations in order to treat one allergy. It takes sooo long to get through everything, especially if you have to keep treating the same allergy with combination after combination. It does work because it's helping my boys, but so far I seem to be a very tough case. Which is why I'm trying NMT. Maybe I'm just chasing rainbows, but it feels good to have hope of recovering not just from the Candida, but even from my arthritis. |

herbmom,
Good luck with the NMT treatments. I, too, am excited about the possibilities. I have chased a lot of rainbows looking for things that help. I hope that this lives up to all the good things that I am hearing about it. I, too, am a very tough case. Shari |

Hi Tarilee! I've had two NMT treatments so far. The first one produced amazing results. My experiance was that for the first two days or so I was very tired (my body processing the info. and doing repair and cleanup I assume) Then on day three I had an incredible feeling of energy and lightness, like I could do anything. I didn't even feel bad at the end of the day like I usually do.
I just had my 2nd treatment yesterday, and I'm having the same experiance as before. I'm very tired, but not sick tired. Just sleepy. I feel like I need to give my body a chance to do the work it was instructed to do during the treatment. I'm of course hoping for another energy surge in a day our two like before. I'll keep you updated as I make more progress. |
