I have been on the diet about a month now and I would say I eat about 70-100 gms of carbs a day so I am eating very few carbs. I am finding that I am getting very bloated high up in my digestive tract right under my diaphram. This happens fairly often and when I does happen I cannot eat as I feel sick to my stomach and have no appetite. Has anyone else noticed this?
Even though I think I am sleeping better and my skin and eyes look better my other yeast symptoms have not improved. How long were you all on the diet before you noticed that your food tolerance was better ? I'm thinking I won't tolerate flour products for many months yet. I am finding this all very hard given that it is the holiday season and everywhere I go there is food I can't eat. I'm sorry for all this rambling on....I think I am just really depressed and need to vent. Thanks for listening... Mary |

Mary, it took about six months before I noticed true improvement, and I needed to add in quite a few of the digestive aids from this site to help.
I take digesticol and the bitters. They've both helped so very much. My food is digesting much better. I'm still having trouble with antifungals, as I just mentioned in my other post to you. Try not to get discouraged! I've actually been quite down myself lately - a good cry helps now and then. And the holiday food thing is getting old! Don't you just want to scream?!? Well that doesn't help much except, as I said in the other post, you're not alone. Also I drink the detox teas sold here and they help, too. Plus I take the vitamin C and Activin sold here - again, they do help with die-off symptoms. Do you have support in your family at all? Or friends? Anyone who you can talk to? I don't, that's why I come here. I, too, am bloated at present and don't have an appetite, but it will pass. Drink lots of water and eat veggies, it truly helps. And do a search here - use the word "inspiration" and you'll get some uplifting posts to read! Hope you feel better. Nancy |

I just wanted to share in your anger/depression about not being able to indulge in the holiday treats. I just keep telling myself how proud I will be when I get through this holiday season without 'cheating'. Halloween was hard this year for the first day, but Thanksgiving wasnt too hard since I prepared well by making a pumpkin pie (thanks to Helen's recipe). Tomorrow is my birthday and I will make a cake. For Christmas I plan to make the cranberry bread recipe here and might 'treat' myself to an extra limit...maybe even 2, just to get me through. Over the weekend I made wondercocoa for myself when everyone else was having hot cocoa and cookies- I felt like I was having a treat. We can do this! It will be all over and when everyone else is racing to the gym to burn off all the weight they gained over the season, we'll be feeling better than ever. Hang in there!

Hello there Mary,
Your eagerness to see results is totally understandable! As you find the perfect diet for you and as you get a 'grip' on the yeast, you'll start to feel less cravings and more improvements will be evident. There's a post in the Getting Started section called How Long Will it Take me to get Well. You could read it for a more detailed reply about what to expect. Take good care! TLC |
