I would like to post information about my doctor. I know so many women are suffering from misdiagnosed vulvar issues and infections. He is a GYN Infectious Disease. That is VERY hard to find. I believe there are only a handful in the US. Please if the moderators can let me know if it's okay??
Hi Maggie, Welcome to the forum. I cannot answer your question, but I am sure some one will be here that can. Tarilee will be here tomorrow. She is our moderator. She is here Tuesday and Friday.

Hi Maggie--that's very kind of you. Some of us get lucky with the resources we have around us--now if I could only get the funds together to gather a good group of doctors and all of us at some retreat somewhere!
I don't think I will! I just had a recheck with him and did get good news. My test show no abnormal levels of yeast!! However he does NOT believe in this diet at all! He says the good results are from the boric acid suppositories I've been on. He said if I like the diet and feel better on it, by all means stay on it but it has no merit in his professional opinion. He is only one of 5 GYN Infectious Disease in the US. I respect him and like him but was disappointed in his reaction??
Keep in mind the difficult situation he is in. The companies that funded his education as well as his ongoing mal practice insurance make a lot of money from the drugs that he is trained to promote as the only 'scientific' solution to treat certain problems. He puts his career at risk if he goes around promoting healthy eating as a remedy for yeast infections. Doctor's have lost their licenses for less, (for suggesting the use of purified water for instance.)

I think I"ve been disappointed in every traditional doctor I've ever been to. It's amazing actually, but there you have it. Thank goodness for the knowledge on this site and others that value nutrition!
