Our friend Helen is making a long trip today to see a new doctor and it's going to be a very long trip to make in one day, especially for someone in poor health. I bet she's seeing that new doctor as I write this.

Please send some good thought her way. I pray that she finds the doctor she needs and has the stamina to make the long journey home again without too much trouble.

I've just seen your messages 2 days after getting back and having posted my update. I'm really touched. The journey was OK, if long, and even the sun shone in Cardiff, which it wasn't doing at home!

All the signs and station announcements were in English and Welsh and I heard a woman speaking in Welsh on her mobile phone (I've actually never heard anyone speak Welsh before). I dropped some money in the street and someone picked it up and gave it to me. If I'd had more time, I'd like to have looked around the city.
