Puree frozen okra in food processor, adding your mylk preference (and or water) until smooth. Add stevia to taste, alcohol free vanilla and some wondercocoa* (raw unfermented cacao). Yum. Soft serve chocolate vice-cream. Mine was more of a thick milk shake consistency so I ate half and put the other half in the freezer for a while.

oh wow. I was trying to decide whether I should buy a bag of frozen okra today but couldn't figure out what I could use it for without making it slimy. I guess I'll get a bagful next trip!

Deeb: You know what, I made this the other night and it *WAS* slimy (which I hear is good if you have constipation issues). I think I waited too long before eating it...you really need to eat it right away.
Tarilee- I think it is cooked. I buy the 365 brand from wholefoods usually. It isn't organic though (have not found organic frozen okra anywhere). |

Where do you come up with all of these ideas, Sara? I know some of them came from other candida sites but, okra ice cream??? Was it your invention? Sorry, I'm not quite ready for this one but I do think it's a neat idea. Keep posting all of these interesting recipes, please!

this was my invention- something that was spawned from a green raw smoothie I was making for breakfast. I was trying the raw foods journey but found my digestion just wasnt ready for it.
I was also on a much stricter version of a candida diet so had to get creative- any time the children or I eat vegetables for dessert I feel great satisfaction! |
