3c puffed brown rice cereal
1c coconut oil (not melted) 1/4c flaxseed meal (optional) dash to 1/4tsp stevia powder to taste 1. Thoroughy mix all ingredients 2. Spread out about an inch thick on tin foil or baking paper; it's easier to do inside tuperware so you can more tightly pack the cereal 3. Cover and refrigerate until coconut oil hardens (about 20 min) These rice krispie treats are not as sticky as the originals. A few rice puffs might fall off. Adding arrowroot flour might help them stay together better. I didn't add it because of the extra carbs and they stay together well enough. You can break off a chunk and eat it with your hands and it won't fall apart. You can also add more coconut butter if they're not sticking together well enough. I haven't tried it yet, but you could mix these together with ghee, a nut butter, or some combo of butters. You could also try adding vanilla or carob! This message has been edited. I forgot, store these in the fridge so they stay solid. Also, you could try these with puffed millet.

Lark,
With regular rice crispies you put the butter and stuff in a pot and heat it. With yours, do you just mix it all in a bowl without heating?? Yours will be the first recipe I've tried since starting candida! Ashley |

Just mix all the ingredients together, don't bake it. Good luck!

Hello Lark,
These sound very tasty. Rice crispy cookies were one of my favorites in the before time. : Will try them tomorrow. Think I will add more of the oil. Have you tried Ghee? Maybe just a little for flavor. I can always use the calories. Thanks Judith |
