I have a simple cure for my sweet-tooth- cucumbers! I love to slice cucumbers and coat with a stevia/cinnamon mixture (sometimes I like lots of cinnamon and sometimes I keep it light). This is such a simple yet yummy treat for me. I also do this with jicama sticks and with zucchini cubes. Guilt-free dessert or an afternoon pick-me-up.

I love cucumbers so this is worth a try for me. I was just wondering what ratio you use for the stevia and cinnamon. I just bought some stevia powder yesterday and I'm clueless as to how much to use. I hear it's very powerful tasting and that a little goes a long way so I'd hate to overload something with it.

Thanks. Smile

it's personal and it depends on the brand. Start with a little and increase until you find what works for you Smile

I am so overwhelmed right now that I can't even think straight enough to figure out what foods we are allowed or not.

It's not helping that I'm PMSing and my depression (or sometimes anger) is magnified. I can't tell if I've had a die-off reaction or if our slip on Mother's Day (yes we ate sugared desserts) just worsened our symptoms and we have to start over.

I'm up too late and, as you all know, we do need our rest. Good night everyone!

Hi Traci,

We all feel overwhelmed in the beginning, but it does get easier and becomes a way of life. A much healthier way of life, I might add. the old "treats" don't even appeal to me anymore.

Do the best you can and don't be too hard on yourself. The recipes here made the difference for me. I knew I had to find alternatives to the things I was cutting out. I couldn't go forever without a treat! As time goes by, it will become 2nd nature.

And you can always vent on the forum. We all understand!

Thanks, Gay.

That's EXACTLY why I am posting! I'm so thankful I stumbled across the website and even more thankful that there's a discussion group!
