Hey guys,

I just spoke to Sandi, and she asked me to post on here for her. She doesn't have a lot of energy right now, so she's unable to reply to emails. But she is hoping to have friends and family read the emails she receives to her. She also sends lots of thanks and love to those that she's heard from - Tarilee, Ashley, & Jan: she really loves the tapes you sent and was very touched by it.

She was also happy to hear about all the love and support on the forums, and to know that she's touched so many lives.

Do you have a current address for Sandi? I'd love to send a card, but I'm wondering if the hospital address is not current anymore.

You are in my prayers. I'm praying you have some good drugs to ease the pain, and comforting hospice nurses to care for you. Your recent baptism is bringing you peace of mind, I'm sure. My mom died Dec. 9th from ovarian cancer, and as my mom was nearing the end of her life, she reached up with her hand and had a little smile on her face. (She had been in a coma for about 12 hours without any expression.) She didn't fear death, because she knew the best was yet to come. It's so comforting for me to have been there and know that her pain is gone and she saw something better ahead. I hope this brings a little comfort to you too. We miss my mom so much, but hope to see her in another life.

In case I don't get your address, I'd like to tell you how much I enjoyed some of your recipes and thank you for sharing your story with me. I know from my mom that this is not an easy road. You must be a very strong woman.

We received an email from Jan letting us know that she talked to Sandi last night. Jan and Sandi became acquainted on this forum and became very good friends. Sandi made the trip from BC to Florida to visit Jan for a week a couple of years ago where their friendship grew even closer.

From Jan: "Sandi is touched by all the concerned about her. She hasn't looked at her email recently. She's just too tired (and on lots of pain meds). She kiddingly said she's surprised she's not on a blog yet....with all the prayer chains etc. she's been in.

Sandi is enjoying the CD's she received from Tarilee, Jan and Ashley. Her two friends were there, one who was spending the nite -they were listening to the CD. She sounded comforted ...... xo

Also........ the hospital called to let them know that additional packages had arrived at the hospital (it could be the packages sent by Linda and Tia). I'm not sure if they will forward to the hospice of if someone from her family will pick them up."

I see that Jan just posted the new address above if anyone wishes to send a card.

Sandi, we miss you. You're in all of our hearts and prayers.

I'm really glad that Sandi is being held in love these days. It's wonderful that she's got folks staying over with her to be with her for moral and emotional support!
