I started using sbx after 3 and a half months on the program. Over 3 weeks I increased the dose to 3 capsules a day. Initially there were no symptoms but all of a sudden I developed intestinal bloating and watery feelings in the intestines, headaches in the middle of the night, increased insomnia and nausea and a toxic feeling in the morning. I have stopped taking them and all of these symptoms have almost completely gone. I am recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome present for 4 years now. Things have definately improved but I'm wondering if this condition has increased my levels of toxicity and/or candida overgrowth and do I need to wait longer before taking the sbx again. I am now at a little over 4 months into the program. I did the 1st 3 months with caprol etc. and am in the middle of a parasite cleanse that also contains GSE. I am due to finish this in 3 weeks. I am also now concerned about taking kolorex as this is said to be the strongest product for killing candida. I am also worried because I have digressed from the diet several times in the last couple of weeks and have got into a habit of having coffee a couple of times a week. I do realise that I need to be more disciplined if I am to completely regain my health and I am committed. I think my biggest problem is depression with continual low energy that drives me to seek the stimulation from coffee to lift my spirits.
Anyway do you have any idea as to where I should go from here and what is my best approach to products. Thanks. |

It is true that the SBX can loosen a lot of waste material from the colon and can therefore stimulate some symptoms if the waste material is not properly removed on a regular basis with the use of a fibre supplement and extra water. It is also true that the SBX is only suitable in moderate to high doses once you have stabilized. However, in your case, it would be difficult to know how much of your symptoms were as a result of the SBX and how much because you were using a parasite cleanse as well. I don't usually encourage parasite cleanses early in the program because the herbs used in these products are aggressive and because the die off chemicals from parasite treatment are so toxic that most folks with CRC have a great deal of trouble tolerating the die off process.
Our phase II contains GSE mixed in the purge to continue with a very thorough colon cleansing. This phase is normally experienced as quite strong and folks often start at doses as low as two drops of GSE. If you were to use an aggressive parasite cleanse at this stage- I can imagine that it could cause some trouble for you - especially if you stopped the Bentonite and Psyllium. Welcome to the forums Lujan!!! Since you’ve been on the products and phase one already, I think you may have already read my customary welcome on our forums already? Just in case you haven’t, I’ll include it here. It points you in the direction of some important guidance on our site that can optimize your candida program. I’ll be on again tomorrow morning as usual so if you want to discuss your situation again after you fill me in a bit more, I’d be happy to see if I can help you figure out where to go from here: Welcome: Please do take a look through all of the resources that our site has to offer. The Whole Approach cleansing and strengthening product protocol is very effective at clearing out fungal and yeast candida from the colon and the rest of the body. To get the full story about what the Whole Approach involves check out the Getting Started, Attogram Lahoz Protocol FAQ and the Diet sections. The Getting Started forum section is a read only section that includes introductory information about our forum, our moderators and our program. The Protocol FAQ section is also read only and includes detailed information about the products that most of our members are using to clear their candida. Our Diet information section offers a very detailed protocol to guide you through a transitional diet process from the beginning of your program to the end. I’ll explain a little bit about our protocol below as a very brief summary of what you will find in the sections I mentioned. Whole Approach Product Three Phase Protocol (Attogram/Lahoz protocol) The first and most important step to CRC recovery is reducing both the yeast and fungal forms of Candida that inhabit the colon The program that most of our members are using is a powerful anti-fungal absorptive fibre drink that acts like a detoxifying scrub brush for the whole intestinal tract. This is known as the Attogram brand Candida purge drink and it is the most effective and deeply cleansing colon yeast treatment on the market. It is made up of the combination of three products: a liquid anti-fungal called Caprol, an absorptive, detoxifying liquid clay called Bentonite, and a special colon-scrubbing blend of psyllium husk and seed powder called the Attogram Psyllium Blend. Another crucial element of the protocol is probiotic supplementation with a quality, hearty strain of implantable human strain bacteria (DDS Acidophilus Plus). This fast forwards the process of restoring the healthy ecology of the intestinal tract. The Whole Approach protocol begins with this drink (for three months) and continues with three month rotations of various other, well proven anti-fungals in combination with elements of the above drink. The rotation schedule is essential as it prevents the candida from developing tolerance to any one anti-fungal agent. The literature that comes with the products describes these phases in more detail or you can read about them in the Protocol FAQ section. Our site offers a useful book called Conquering Yeast Infections that discusses the above, exact protocol in detail and describes clinical trials comparing this protocol to pharmaceutical anti-fungal products (though the diet recommendations differ from ours. See below for our diet recommendations). You can read about the clinical comparisons on our site if you click on “Comparisons” at the top of the page. Whole Approach Three Stage Diet The Whole Approach diet is based on your own unique dietary needs. It’s customized to your needs based on your ongoing results on a candida symptom questionnaire. The unique diet protocol is designed to “walk you through” your entire candida recovery starting out with a very cautious approach to diet progressing to a gradual reintroduction of restricted foods as your symptoms on the questionnaire decrease. The recommended foods and the instructions for managing your diet needs are designed to help you avoid common allergens, reduce carbohydrate consumption and become tuned in with how foods are affecting you through the use of detailed diet diary. If you go to the diet section (hit "diet" above at top of page), you'll find a section that describes the three stage Whole Approach diet. You’ll find a detailed explanation of a three stage candida diet. Many folks are also on a four day food rotation plan in order to recovery from and/or prevent the formation of food allergies (which are common with Candida Related Complex/ CRC) Happy Reading and Happy Yeast Busting! |

Thanks Tarilee, I was still taking the psyllium and bentonite but only once a day. My symptoms are still up and down but on the whole a lot better. The past few weeks I have been taking coenzyme q10 which has seemed to have mad a big difference.
Obviously I can't take the gse on its own at the moment because I have already taken it for 2 and a half months as part of the parasite cleanse. Would you recommend going on to Kolerex now and then trying to reintroduce the sbx after a few weeks on that? Or do you think I would be better with a different antifungal? |

Hi Lujan,
I would consider using olive leaf extract as your next anti-fungal if you have to skip the GSE for now. SBX is used by different people in different ways. My instructions on this one are a little different from Colet Lahoz's. Colet suggests waiting until the seventh month. I have advised some people to start sooner but only if they are feeling stabilized on a sort of plateau of the cleansing process. If you are having a lot of troublesome symptoms or you are in a transitional time with the reintroduction of a new phase, you may wish to hold off until you settle. Start the SBX very slowly. You will find complete instructions on the product section of the site. I think you have to click on "more information" under the SBX write up to see this part. SBX definitely provides some important immune support in addition to it's other functions so I like to try to introduce it into folks' programs sooner rather than later and I recommend taking up to the recommended dosage where Colet keeps folks at two capsules per day. It can cause some intestinal detoxification that for some, creates die off like symptoms. It can also alter bowel function. Therefore, if you are going to take the higher dose, make sure you increase your dosage at least as slowly as recommended in the SBX instructions. Good luck and please do let us know how you do. Thanks Tarilee, your advice makes sense. Obviously my condition has not yet stabalized enough to take the SBX so I'll give it a rest for a while longer. Unfortunately I also cnnot use olive leaf as I have been taking it continuously for over a year now as a maintenance treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome. I was considering taking the gse on its own with the psyllium bentonite mixture for a month or so and then progressing to either kolorex or another antifungal although I seem to be running out of options. Would this be OK? This would bring the total time on the gse up to about 3 and a half months or a little longer so I am concerned about resistance being developed already to gse. In the past I have taken a supplement called SF722 which I seemed to tolerate well at that stage where my condition was probably alot worse. Have you any experience with this. I was considering that maybe the reason it was easily tolerated was because it wasn't very powerfully antifungal.

Hi Lujan,
The SF722 is a gentle but fairly effective product. I think that would be fine for your next stage but I would suggest that you take it with the purge. If it is possible for you to open up the contents of the capsules/gelcaps and take it with the Bentonite and Psyllium blend, it will be more effective against intestinal yeast. In the second phase it is still very important to continue treating the colon with an anti-fungal. |
