Tarilee and others,
Since beginning the Attogram Program my digestion has gotten quite a bit worse that it was before, with lots of gas, bloating, and the most recent problem is undigested food coming out in my stool! Over the past few days I have seen a lot of totally intact grain such as quinoa and amaranth, large pieces of beans, and even a half-inch piece of intact carrot come out of me! The flatulence problem has also gotten so bad now that it takes hours for the air to clear in any room I've been in. I mean, I'm talking about gas so foul that I don't think I have ever smelled it's equivalent. I have to leave the window in my bedroom open all day just to clear out the air from overnight. Sorry to gross people out, but I'm really getting concerned and I need some advice. I have ordered the Absord Aid product from the Whole Approach Store and I am waiting for it to arrive. In the mean time, I have a few questions: 1. Could the bentonite be causing malabsorbtion leading to these digestive problems? 2. Could these problems just be caused by die-off? 3. Is it possible that I'm deficient in stomach acid and that's why I can't break down the food I eat? I mean, how can a big chunk of carrot go through my entire digestive tract untouched??? Do I need to take a HCl acid supplement in addition to Absorb Aid? Thanks for any help that anyone can provide. Dale |

May I tell you that I had the same problem? I think this is related to a sick liver, a temporary solution would be to take an all-in-one Enzyme blend.

Hey Dale--those symptoms sound a lot like die off to me--and believe me, there aren't words to describe the gas--so I'll use a picture
As for food not being digested, I know part of what Tarilee will say to that one--she's very big on us chewing our food very, very well--I still don't do this often enough, but when I do it works like a charm--what was that again Tarilee--20 bites before you swallow? I wish I had that time I hope you start feeling (smelling? |

Hi Dale,
I highly recommend that you read the article on digestion. It’s in the newsletter section along with all the other articles. That sounds like a horrible experience and I’m sorry you’re feeling so yucky. Have you tried the occasional use of activated charcoal? You can do a search under “charcoal” on our forum and you’ll come up with some specific advice re it’s use. I encourage you to use a diet diary to track any potential foods or food combinations that are contributing to the problem and you will also find some suggestions in the article that will greatly help to boost your digestion. Good luck with that Dale. And in the meantime, you can find some wonderful air fresheners made with essential oil of grapefruit or of orange that will help you enjoy your space during the flatulence episodes. I used to live with a beloved friend who had food allergies and until we sorted that out we went through a LOT of orange mist!!! Tari-Lee |

Thank you Tarilee, ashleygait and pbitter for all your thoughts and suggestions. I really appreciate it!
I decided to try a comprehensive digestive enzyme blend today with my lunch and dinner -- I have part of a bottle left over from last winter when I was having digestive problems and I used the stuff. It's a very good product, but I think it might be more powerful than I need, though. It's got betain HCl, papain, ox bile, and various types of enzymes in it. I'll be looking forward to my shipment of Absorb Aid. For regular use I would prefer to use an enzyme supplement that is not too overpowering because I don't want my organs to stop working on their own. Nevertheless, with my current die-off I probably need all the digestive help I can get! Tarilee, I have never used charcoal but I suppose it's something to consider. Ashley, I am currently using 2 tsp of Caprol in my twice-a-day purge. I started the program a little more than a month ago with only half a tsp and gradually worked my way up. I did notice die-off within the first few days, but the die-off has become much worse with the higher dosage of antifungal. I wanted to increase it even more but have been unable to due to the die-off. The last week especially has been rough, with the digestive troubles already mentioned as well as really bad muscle fatigue and aches all over my body. I think I must be very toxic at this point. The good thing is, at least I know the program is doing something! Tarilee, do you think a couple days without the antifungal would be a good idea to let my body rest from the intense die-off, or is this too risky? I don't want to give the yeast a chance to start growing again, but I want to make sure my body doesn't get totally overwhelmed with toxins. Dale |

Hey Dale--youu remind me so much of me when I first started this program--I pushed myself so hard to do everything "right" (I put it in quotation marks because right doesn't exist I finally realized!
I know this is all a learning process, but I'll tell you what I learned from mine: Less can be more!! If you kill off too much yeast at once, you're not allowing your body to clear the toxins out of your system fast enough and you end up over-burdening your body and making it fight harder than it has to...This shouldn't be a painful process, but one with which you can negotiate your reactions by addressing your dosage... It took me 5 months going headlong into this thing before dieoff got the very best of me--and I mean the VERY best because I was willing to put up with anything so long as I got better!! I was on GSE and finally it was just too much--that was the first time I lowered my dosage. It wasn't, however, until month 7 that I realized if I stopped the antifungal for a day to allow my body to clear out, my die off wasn't bad at all, and that I get to decide how bad my die off's going to be by controlling that dosage... So, using my own experience, I'd say to take tomorrow's purge minus the caprol and see how you feel afterwards...As long as you're sticking to the diet guidelines here you won't be feeding the candida and you body could probably use a well-deserved break!! Okay, have a good night and take care! Ashley |

Hi Dale,
I agree with both your inclination and Ashley's recommendation regarding you using the purge sans the Caprol for a few days. If you read the die off article you'll see that I recommend this strategy when you have accidentally pushed the process and created some temporary toxicity. It happens to the best of us - don't feel bad. You're on the right track and you most certainly have an excellent attitude and a methodical approach about it all. Please beware of digestive products containing betaine hydrochloric acid and ox bile as they are indeed quite strong and if you take them when you are not quite deficient in stomach acid and bile, you’ll most likely feel bloating, flatulence and perhaps even stomach pain as a consequence. I think you’ll be impressed with the Absorb Aide. It is an excellent product. Take good care Dale. Tari-Lee |
