This recipe is from ACCME on page 131.
DISCLAIMER: If you are food combining, you may need to modify these recipes. Turkey Oatmeal Loaf (may be difficult for food combining or for folks who have gluten sensitivity) 4 servings 1 lb ground turkey (see notes below) 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats (regular, uncooked) 1/2 cup carrots, shredded 1/2 cup water In large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Shape into to 9 x 5-inch loaf pan OR nine muffin cups (1/3 cup each). Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes in loaf pan or 20 to 25 minutes in muffin cups. Ingredients may be mixed early in the day and stored in refrigerator to be cooked later. NOTES: Gound meats can contain mold. The Whole Foods I go to will ground up the meat I chose from the case fresh while I wait. I used only turkey breast last time but will use both white and dark meat next time. I freeze the leftovers. I served this with a carrot/apple salad: 1 small apple*, shredded OR shred jicama and add stevia to taste 2 carrots, shredded (remember to not use baby carrots since they are too sweet 1 T walnut oil sprinkle of cinnamon Cindy O This message has been edited. Yoga Lady,
No, I am not new to this. I posted a thread called Menu Ideas under the Candida Diet Q & A where I mention that I am in phase II. I have been doing the program since March. I have been able to add in some fruit from time to time. I got the jicama tip here on the forum. Shredding the jicama (a vegetable) with a bit of stevia really is a good substitute for an apple especially in the beginning. Cindy O |
