Aloe Vera in History

Fifteen Centuries before the Birth of Christ, Egyptian writings acclaimed the miracle plant we know as Aloe Vera, even then referred to as an ancient cure. Cleopatra, Alexander the Great and Aristotle were fans of this strange succulent prized for its soothing, healing and analgesic ability. Indians in Central and South America used it to treat burns, kidney and bladder infections, dysentery, stomach and intestinal disorders.

George’s aloe is completely different from any other aloe you’ve every tried. It is clear and taste’s just like spring water. It’s not green and bitter tasting like other aloe products. This is because we specially process the aloe. The thick greenish substance found just beneath the rind in the latex layer of the plant is where the aloins and anthraqinones are located. These substances are irritants and when ingested can cause cramping and diarrhea and in some cases nausea. George's Aloe is a refined product. We remove the antagonistic compounds that cause the bitter taste and irritation to the GI tract. This also makes it quite safe for use.

We have refined the aloe Vera and removed the bad taste, Aloin, and sugary components which contribute to spoilage. Even more important than our sophisticated refining process is the fact that we produce the Aloe Vera from a particular Aloe Vera Plant that we believe improves the digestive process.

Why drink George's Always Active Aloe?

The aches, pains and malfunctions of the body can result from changes in the digestive process and many of which may have occurred over a number of years. We hypothesize that the “Always Active” Aloe actually cleanses the digestive membranes. Consequently, the body makes adjustments which, if combined with a daily regimen, can result in better health. These changes are gradual, so you should notice the effects by the time you have used one gallon by consuming ¼ cup twice per day on an empty stomach.

We took a good look at this fascinating botanical wonder. Of the 200 plus varieties, we quickly found that only five or six fit the enzymatic structure for the cosmetic and so-called "medicinal properties" mentioned.
Then while we were studying these succulents in their natural desert setting, the little "Beep-beep" bird from the Saturday cartoons scooted across a Mexican road and changed our lives.

What got our attention was not the fact that the roadrunner drank from the juice of the Aloe Vera - but that it passed up many plants to get to a particular one, Aloe Barbadensis Miller. We studied acre after acre and found the roadrunner "peck marks" only on one particular species. The other aloe were untouched. Our Houston lab found that, indeed it had much different gel than other aloes. We studied this plant for several years and found it to be the species of aloe with the most beneficial constituents.

Q. What are the benefits from drinking Georges Aloe Vera liquid?

A. Aloe has been used for centuries to help in maintaining a healthy digestive tract. Evidence through different studies seem to indicate that beneficial properties in the Aloe help in allowing the body to rebuild mucous membranes. This could benefit certain conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, heatburn, acid reflux chrones disease & chronic constipation.



Q. How often should I drink Georges Aloe Vera liquid?

A. For optimum results, we recommend drinking 2 ounces in the morning before breakfast and 2 ounces in the evening before bedtime.



Q. Why do you remove the polysaccharides?

A. The Aloe Vera Barbadensis Miller plant has over 200 beneficial components. Although it is believed polysaccharides have beneficial elements, they are also the cause of rapid fermentation and breakdown of the product, thus requiring preservatives to be added. We opt to remove the polysaccharides in order to eliminate adding any preservatives or additives. We also theorize, through our testing, that the polysaccharides are not the “silver bullet” in helping the body heal. However, our distillate contains the naturally occurring elements that form to produce mucopolysaccharides.



Q. What is a distillate?

A. A distillate is a liquid that consists of pure components of a plant in its most basic form. It is unique in that a distillate is comprised of a low molecular weight thereby enabling the body to assimilate its components in the purest form at the cellular level. This occurs both internally, and through the skin’s dermal layers, at a much higher rate than would occur if the plant’s components were introduced in any other manner.



Q. How long should I be drinking Georges Aloe Vera before seeing any results?

A. Most people begin to see results anywhere from two weeks to one month. Remember, our bodies are continually shedding cells. It is very important to continue use even after you attain the results you are looking for.



Q. Why doesn’t Georges Aloe taste bad?

A. Most Aloe Vera products are slimey and have a very bitter taste. We remove the chemical antagonists such as the aloins and anthraquinones that are mildly toxic. These antagonists can cause stomach cramping, diarrhea and in some cases vomiting. As a result, our product has no adverse flavor.

Unlike other brands, our product is safe for pregnant women, nursing mothers and people of all ages.



Q. Is Georges Aloe Organically grown?

A. Yes! Although we do not seek the organic certification, Georges aloe is continually tested for over 50 different chemicals that may contaminate the plants. To date tests has come back negative for any contamination.



Q. Doesn’t distillation just turn it to water?

A. Georges is fractionally distilled, meaning it is broken down into various parts, with the undesirable elements removed. It is then re-assembled. Products such as Jack Daniels & Petroleum are distilled products and would never be confused with water.



Q. Is your product diluted?

A. No. It takes 23 lbs of plant to make one gallon of Georges liquid aloe. There is no dilution, preservatives or additives.



Q. Can I take too much of Georges aloe?

A. Drinking more than the recommended amount will not hurt you. In fact, you may need to increase the amount you take depending on the severity of your condition. Once your condition has improved, you will want to continue with 2 ounces twice daily as a maintenance program.
